Josh Jacobs

Legal Analyst


Since joining HomeBase in 2014, Josh has served communities throughout the United States in their efforts to prevent and end homelessness by fostering community engagement, implementing strategic plans, and growing grant acquisition.

Josh's strengths include: strategic planning with communities to identify gaps, goals, and action steps to systematically end homelessness; developing policies and procedures for administering coordinated entry systems that account for specialized subpopulations such as youth, families, and households escaping domestic violence; advocating on behalf of legislative and administrative policy goals; coordinating healthcare and homeless services integration; designing tools and materials for nonprofit service providers on best practices; providing trainings on how best to implement new intervention strategies; and strengthening financial and grant management.

Previously, Josh worked for Larkin Street Youth Services--a non-profit that helps house homeless youth in San Francisco. He has a B.S., cum laude, in Psychology from Towson University and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
