Nikka provides technical assistance to HomeBase Priority Communities and state-wide initiatives, and facilitates community planning processes and capacity building to strengthen system-wide, local and agency-level responses to homelessness. Her work engages mainstream and public institutions in developing integrated, multi-sectoral solutions to end homelessness and supports communities of all sizes in building robust systems of care. In her off hours, Nikka can be found getting lost in the Bay Area hills or playing guitar (badly) to accompany her singing (far worse). Before joining HomeBase, Nikka was a senior litigation associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, program director at Bay Area Community Resources (BACR), and the co-founder and executive director of the International Cardiovascular Health Alliance (ICHA). She holds a B.A. in English and History from U.C. Davis, and a J.D. from U.C. Berkeley.
